Juratek was founded out of daily law firm reality: We are an interdisciplinary team of attorneys and software engineers. Our mission is to relieve the legal profession of administrative friction through reliable, compliance-first information technology.
Why We Build Juratek
Technology that respects the core tenets of the legal profession
Legal counsel demands intense concentration, analytical rigor, and undivided attention for the client. Yet the day-to-day reality of many law practices is consumed by administrative friction: client consultations are interrupted by phone calls, pleading captions must be manually recopied, statutory deadlines linger in disconnected spreadsheets, and cumbersome software dating back to the 1990s stalls modern workflows.
We built Juratek because we experienced this operational burden firsthand in legal practice. And because we are convinced that software can only empower law firms when it honors the non-negotiable principles of the legal profession: from professional secrecy (§ 203 StGB) and statutory attorney obligations (§ 43a BRAO) to mathematically precise deadline calculations.

Attorney sovereignty as the primary principle
Software prepares the groundwork; ultimate decisions remain strictly with legal counsel. We do not promise uncontrolled black boxes, but verifiable tools that satisfy legal professional standards. Without explicit attorney confirmation, no document is committed to the vault and no motion is filed.
Deterministic precision at the core
Statutory limitation periods (§ 4 KSchG, § 193 BGB), statutory fee schedules (RVG), and tax accounting interfaces belong in deterministic, mathematically proven algorithms—not in unpredictable language models. AI assists where factual context needs structuring. The calculation logic remains irrevocably exact.
Confidentiality as an architectural invariant
Professional secrecy obligations (§ 203 German Criminal Code / StGB) and the GDPR form the foundation of our architecture: EU-based hosting, strict multi-tenant database isolation, and automated pseudonymization prior to model invocations. Confidential matter files remain strictly within your law firm.
